Yakima Springers new
      #380123 - 06/25/09 11:08 PM

Sorry, kind of a late report, had some pretty good luck on the Yak for spring chinook the last few weeks, between walleye trips and the start of Cowlitz summer run trips.

I was banking it below Roza dam, & was the ticket...pretty sweet catching springers 10 minutes from the house...

Yup, it was pretty easy limits by 6:00 a.m. 3 of the 4 mornings I fished up there, about a 1/2 mile below the deadline.

Most people were fishing eggs, I did best on my died springer prawns, leftover from Drano.

yea bob, heard the bend really put out the fish once the mud runoff mellowed. it also looks like springer forecast is going to fall well short of projections. like maybe half. anyways it must feel real nice to have springers so close to home base.
