Lake Terrell
      #382323 - 07/25/09 01:41 PM

Hi everyone. I am going to fish Lake Terrell tomorrow w/ my father-in-law. I haven't fished that lake in probable 20 yrs. My question is what is a hot lure to catch the large mouth bass with? I am a beginner bass fisher. What size line should I use? Thank you in advance for any tips!!!

Floating shallow diving Rapala....toss next to lily pads and wait til rings disappear....give it a tug and let set. Repeat a couple times then work it back close to the pad line. Color doesn't matter that much and don't be afraid to go with the larger sizes.

Worms with no weight. Cast out amongst the pads and structure and work it back slow and erratically.

Worms with weights and jigs. dredge the bottom reel slow like. You feel anything odd raise that rod tip!

One of my favorite fisheries...spent 4 years living 5 minutes from it. Oh and don't be shy of trying water less than knee deep.

Oh and this time of year the lily pads are Bull Frog city!

Get out the gig! Fried frog legs, mmmmm. And I do believe bullfrogs are an invasive species in WA.

We caught a couple small bass. Probably 1 pounders. I can't believe all the cover in that lake.
