MA11 report 8/10: Steelheader.net- Steelhead, Salmon and trout fishing

Headed out this morning fairly early considering I had the wife in tow with our two oldest grandsons(6 & 4). Got to PtD launch and the nice lady let me know my boat tabs were expired....trekked up to 12th and Union to my daughters place of employment and purchased new ones online.....back to the launch and trolling by 9am, hoping for 7am but oh well....trolled the slag pile for a while with nothing, headed to ruston shoreline, one small flounder followed by a nice little pink out infront of the Old Town fishing pier......back and forth trying to find more, no luck!
Headed to Browns Pt, found lots of fishermen that didn't seem to have much luck, headed around to the big cove and saw a jumper near shore....motored in and started casting pink buzz bombs, over the next couple hours we hit 8 with 4 to the net...saw some nice schools come by, 100 plus fish pods....decided to head over to MA13 to drop a couple crab pots, didn't realize MA11 is W-S only....errrr, oh well the grandsons wanted to catch a crab......two pots, 45 minute soak and 3 starfish to show for it and two red rocks, on borderline 5inches and the other 6 inches...kept the 6.....headed to the launch and on our way we went. Great day with family, some memories made....gave my gboys a lesson in fish anatomy....wheres their pooper!!!! lol!!!!!
