Jake, got a call from a guide freind the other day. He said its not red hot but he has been putting fish in the boat. Look at the fish counts from the Dalles. Good luck!

Hey guys. I'm new to the site, but have fished the Deschutes and lower John Day for years. I will hopefully be getting out on the lower D the 28th and 29th and a few times in Sept. before I start hitting the JD with the sled. Should be a good season with alot of fish to catch this year.

Welcome to the board, JKW. I just moved to Phoenix from Bend, OR and will miss out on this season on the Deschutes. Post all your pics. I'm going to miss it badly.

If the first he's about 30 minutes from the Rogue River; the second? He's in deep do-do.
