These have finally been approved after years of research and development and will be available by 10/15. These are not inexpensive but one of a kind as far as I know and an answer to several request.

The size 16 would fit on any casting style fishing rod. The 20 would be more for saltwater rods.

These seats just arrived and they are bad to the bone. These are a must have for the collection. Time to start building again:)

They look awesome. Pair it up with woven graphite handles and you'll have a helluva futuristic looking terminator rod.
They are designed to be installed with arbors I assume? Also, what is the inside surface like as far as texture?

The seats are to be tape arbor old school. Simply slap down three rows to fit after you glue your rear handle. The inside has milled slots so to hold the glue better. I noticed while fishing this seat that the way the sides are milled it makes palming the reel much more comfortable. The seats are a bit pricey but really its a lifetime investment for sure and will out last hundreds of dollars in reels.

They do look cool. Now let's figure out how to have them with the exposed blank under the reel.

Unless they recently changed the molecular structure of aluminum....they are metal.

I read about that new plastic aluminum. Really light weight and a bit warmer in cold weather than the metal aluminum...
