...or Lewiston Bengal rod.
SH1025 casting. Set up for backtrolling. I had alot of fun building this one. Everything went without a hitch. Except the label. For some reason the label decided to fight me. I think I used too much ink and it saturated the the ink jet film making it super fragile. I trashed the 1st one just trying to peel the backing off and could hardly breathe on the second one without crinkling the film. My next rod is getting a more subtle label treatment...going with a clear waterslide decal with ink colors to match the thread wrap and trim band colors.
I still havent figured out a good way to photograph fishing rods but here is the purple pez popper.
Grade "A" 14" rear grip, cork composite butt cap, graphite reel seat, trim ring, grade "A" 2.5" foregrip and aluminum winding check and TiCH hookeeper. I really like the way those aluminum trim rings finish off the assembly. The next one is going to have a trim piece between the handle and the back of the reel seat. Yeah, its just jewelry but why not make it purdy? And the weight is added in the rear where its needed with no ill effects on performance. Now I'm wondering how much it would cost to anodize or powder coat said jewelry and make it match thread colors...maybe I think too much.

The label that wanted to kick my tail:
A couple guide wrap shots:
Gonna go fishing for a couple days then start an XST1085 and rebuild my broken XST1143.
