Uh, ZZZZing?
AuntyM hopes Swanny replaces the word "bobber" in his vocabulary with "float" in case Mr. Vedder hears of his blasphemy and sends bad "bobber" karma to Swanny's fishing prowess.

Swanny took the easy road on that one and copy/pasted the annoucement that went out, at least I hope so. Bill doesn't usually talk in 3rd person about himself, but maybe he got hit in the head or something. As Jack pointed out, maybe it's a case of Brewer-idas. Bottom line is if you have some time to kill, stop by. I'll be with Swanny as part of his N.W. Guide Team and we'll be covering those topics etc. That and he's a pretty good guy to talk about fishing with. Hope to see you guys there...

Castingpearls has been to a Swanny seminar and they are really informative. Swanny will answer any/all questions candidly. CP was able to learn quite a bit from Swanny. P.S. CP also has fished with Swanny and thinks highly of him.

FireFish can clearly see that Castingpearls got tired of typing Castingpearls, "who wouldn't", and now simply refers to himself as CP. FireFish now too will also refer to Castingpearls as CP...
PS. FireFish has fished with Swanny a time or two also...

Glad you enjoyed it and good to meet you. A lot of folks told me afterwords and during that it was good info and new to them as well. Very few float fishermen in the audience. Glad you got something out of it...

No Bobbers M, Though I did find myself refering to when I was a teenager watching the Nut Jobs at Blue Creek, in the mid 80's, using Red & White Plastic Thingies and Crappie Jigs. If you'd asked me then, they where the idiot's.... Boy how times have changed..

FF those were the days. we caught alot of steelhead on those plastic bobbers and crappie jigs. it took alot of skill to land a hot fish using a 8.5" rod. trying to not bend the light wire hook out. i left with many o'limit back in those "they were the idiots" days. to this day not a person tipped a jig with any bait. all steelhead were nailed on a straight jig. since a slider bobber was not yet in the bobber option yet. there was a time when we would cast a fixed plastic bobber with a 8' leader. brewer fondley remembers the days of the glory when BC was a hotbed of fresh hot steelhead. no flossers and now sidedrifters. just old school tactics that worked well.

Sorry I missed it, on another note regarding Cabelas. Keep your receipts in case you have to return anything. They are getting very strict on returns. They said they had something like 1.6 million in returns last year so their cracking down. I agree with them cracking down a tad, I always wondered why they would accept a pair of boots that had worn out soles and place them in the bargain cave. LOL, I heard if you stand your ground though, they will assist. Personally, I don't know who has the gall to take back a pair of three year olds and then claim they are defective, but some do. Sure wish I would have caught you FF. TM out.

I believe the original sig line was >>
FJ...out
It got stale the minute Duanne jacked it from me. I jacked it from a cat named Jim on the radio. It's all good clones. Carry on.
Brewer I came in to the BC show later when it became more refined (90's). A 10'6 spinning loaded with 8 or 10 #test fishing a straight yarn jig under a peg'd cork float. It was my backup after drift fishing.

Sorry if I jacked it Steve. As long as I have been here I've signed off with that. But you know what, it might be time for a change... Brewer, your exactly right, back then it took a lot of skill to land those fish on those light crappie jigs. As I posted, back then as a teenager, I was convinced those guys where idiots. today, you couldn't get me to not have floats on half my rods when I go fishing . To bad back then as a 16/17 year old kid, I didn't take some time and ask those guys questions, I probably would have learned a thing or two...
Now for the F/J inspired change...
F/F...
