these jigs just kill the chum dogs. i find they work best twitched across the bottom with a realy stiff rod and #50 braided.
over the years of fishing chums i find they don't really bite so well but they do get pissed off. these jig they will come down and try to slap it with there tail and if you twich the jig at the right moment you will almost alwas hook the fish.

Pete, as well as it may work, I'm pretty sure the treble hook on a sinking lure in the Skykomish is not legal right now...just sayin'.

they use this alot for springer on the Kalama, but Kalama springers are so agresive they don't need the hoochy it seems.

i've used these in a chain set up but you have to get rid of your pole and upgrade to roap.

Spreader with 3 single hooks sucks...someone may have thought of trying something like that on the Quilacene. Theory was that it was very possible to simultaneously hook 3 silvers in the mouth. The designers had a moment of lucidity and realized that while possible to do the hooking dealing with 3 salmon on the end of a line was not going to have the desired results of catching a limit in 1.33 drifts.

zip ties will handle it. i once made a gill net for blue fin tune with them, we slayed them that trip.
