I'd been wanting to fish Tillamook Bay for Fall Kings for years, well after some planning, fishing buddy Mike B. and I fished the bay a couple days early this week.
The fishing reports from T-Bay I was gettin the last 2-3 weeks were sloooooooow fishing, so we didn't have huge expectations...but hoped for a few chances over the couple days.
On Sunday, we were to fish with SHer.net member AaronP and his buddy, Capt. John Kirby, AaronP came down with the flu, and could not make it...so Capt. John's buddy Randy joined us.
We hit the "Ghost Hole" @ first light and fished it thru high tide with a few other boats, Mike B. had our only bite, a drive by on his herring that wasn't hooked.
After high slack tide, we loaded up and headed to the "Oyster House" to try there.
Near low slack tide, we were trolling along the "Picket Fence" in about 7'-8 feet of water when Mike B. hooks this chrome hen on herring...
We saw a couple more kings hooked in the Ghost Hole area over the next hour, but that was all the action we had, thanks again Capt. John Kirby and AaronP for the day...hope you're fellin better AaronP!
Monday morning dawned with heavy wind and rain, as we drove to the Tillamook Bay boat house to meet my buddy, guide Greg Frogner, where Greg moores his boat.
So we gear up and are off to the Jaws, to troll @ high slack tide, we drop off 4 freshly baited crab pots along our way.
We were the first boat to troll along the noth jetty of "the Jaws" that morning, when I hooked up on this dandy buck in front of the CG tower...
As we got closer to low slack tide, the action picked up. We had 5 more bites, hooked another King that jumped 6' in the air and was gone, then Mike B. had the classic Chinook herring bite on this Chrome hen...
With that Mike B. and I were tagged out for the day, and it was time to check the crab pots...
Wow, the crabbing was great, 20 keepers along with our Kings...
Now back to work, Coho fishing on the Klickitat river is very good, and I have a cancelation for Sunday(upto 3 seats open) call me(509)952-9694 if you're interested, as I'm fishing with GrimmReaper that day...and we have room!

Pretty cool. Glad to get to see you get to be the fishee, instead of the fisher! Or something to that effect.
Good report, now I gotta get a OlyPen trip ciphered out with you.
