Ran across a pair of decent Gemtop Workmaster canopies in Ocean Shores this weekend. They were at Coast Communications just east of the town gates. They fit long bed Chevies, not my 97 Ford as I had hoped, but you should call them to find out exactly what year they had them on as I guess the shape changed a few times during that period. They are white, with the ladder racks and single tall door at the rear and the solid doors on sides. One was in real decent shape, and the other needed a little love, but they were only 25 bucks each. Back end of each is slightly narrower than front end. Talk to the manager of Coast for more info.

I nearly brought one home to resell, but couldn't get it clamped securely to my bed for the 150 mile trip. Bummer, would have been a quick 200-400 bucks.

+1. I keep looking on Craigslist for one that will fit the 97 F350. The few I have found were objectionable in color and too expensive!

Aunty... I have the same year/model in a long bed crew cab. What color are you looking for...I'll let you know if I find anything. BTW, Gemtops are made in Oregon...search the Portland CL for better results.

Oh yeah...and split "Gem" and "top" in your searches...lots more results that way.

OK. We could tolerate white but the truck is red.

I have an old beat up one under the garage. Free. Would make a great cover for a mobile meth lab. Used to be on my old ford f-10.

dont forget to check all the Salvage/wrecking yards. Older cars are totaled for the body damage, the canopy could be perfect. They get no scrap value on fiberglass canopies. The glass tops use gelcoat. It wont pay to repaint it. Gelcoat was 50 bucks a quart in 2007 and they want money to add the color.
