replacing guides new
      #40294 - 04/23/02 08:52 PM

As I have not read my new book yet [Big Grin]
is there a quick fix to replace guides on an old pole(eagle claw) trolling rod very beefy.

It has old salt water metal guides 2 are broken.

Gonna use it for a sturgeon rod.

Assuming I find guides!
don't have a clue......I feel inadequate [Frown]

Wayne wayne wayne [Big Grin] . Go to the front page and there is a section on rod building. In there you will find a little blurb on guide wrapping knot and how to do it.

Pretty sure that new book covers very well. In short

You will need new guides, cut old ones off, wrap new guides on, seal the threads after lining the new guides up. Rod wrapping isn't really very tough, but you can make it a art form, time permitting.
