The high buck hunt starts Saturday. It is way to warm for me to go on my hike. It has been this way for a few years now so I havn't even went  is anybody else planning on a trip? When the weather is colder and wetter I like to hike up to Baldy and spend a few days. But if there is no snow in the park then I don't like to go.

Ever heard of anybody actually getting a deer on the high hunt? I guess the hunt isn't about the kill.

Oh yeah I know of a few nice bucks shot. But like I said, the weather needs to be bad or it is most likely going to smell like ![[skunk]](graemlins/skunkanim.GIF)

A very bad year for snow level. There are some big boys that live high in the park. Never really thought about the snow level on our local mountains...but I know it drives the deer down later in the year during the rut.

thanks bux and marty ,bux i wish i could be of some help on your idaho quest but i am not familier with the area your hunting i did do the panhandle whitetail hunt with my sled on dworshak res that was a hoot although the whitetail won i will seek redemption
