Its becoming obvious we need alot of polishing grit for these rocks. Its pretty spendy, we need a cheap source. Ideas? connections?
Reminds me of a friend who imports the grit from China...wonder if he still does. We may not be big enough to warrant purchasing bulk.

hey marty, been thinking about making a tumbler out of a 25 gallon drum, or in line multiples. where do you get your grit now. only thing that has been holding me back. pat

Marty, just a thought, have you considered trying some old St. Helens ash. there is a mountain of down on I5 by the Toutle river. that stuff works like grinding compound. It might work for polishing rocks and its free.
