I am not familure with you year truck. but if you get under neath it you will see an clutch for sticking out one side of the bell housing. I had a 76 toy and it was what they call a hydraulic clutch. You have a master cylinder on the firewall and a slave on the side of bell housing by the clutch fork. there should be two bolts on a threaded bolt that goes thru the clutch fork loosen the outside one as it locks the other one in position. the adjust the other one to let the clutch move in a little further so it applies more pressure to the flywheel. Have you checked your clutch fluid i would do that first. As long as they did not change it to much this should help you get started I would pick up one of those cheap manuals they sell at the autoparts store. for a reference.
