Does anyone else barbecue during the winter?, those who don't... it is a great change to indoor winter cooking!. I love to barbecue, when it's cold out!! The food is so much better, I recommend you try it, if you don't already know this ancient washington secret!! Woodsy Wayne

steak is good but how about oysters, barbeed on the coals, till they open up and say aahhh! Also veggies, broccoli, green peppers, onions in foil on the barbeque to accompany your favorite delight!! And some ranch-n-bacon suddenly salad!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm. WW

A little late with my reply....
We BBQ year round! Mostly chicken (you know, the wife's on a diet). I love to stick a 6 pack of beer in the snow (like this last weekend) and crank 'er up.

fisch That sound's good, Especially the six-pack in the snow. Chicken is highly barbecuable too. Great idea in this weather. Woodsy Wayne

ever had bbq salmon? it's excellent! take the salmon steak and put on some lemon pepper (or your favorite salmon spice) or just plain is good too, and wrap it in alluminum foil. don't put it directly in the fire cause it'll cook too fast. for those who have gas grills, put it on the top rack. the end product is very moist with a hint of "being cooked on the grill".
works best with fresh salmon/steelhead!

Sea Nymph Definitely salmon, or any fish for that matter, but I do put mine directly on the grill,( I prefer filet's)but I think foil may be better for most people. I spray the grill with nonstick spray, and that help,s alot, as far as cooking too quick, I tend to put them on the edge, or an upper rack in a gas bbq. I like salmon sandwiche's or halibut, so direct on the grill, i prefer, they seem to stay together better. But I do both foil and direct, no wrong or right way, just have to get your method for both way's. But salmon!! ......yeah 4 sure!! Woodsy Wayne [ 01-29-2002, 07:07 PM: Message edited by: wayne ]
