Sounds like a a stampede with alll the mushrooms popping up. My dandelions are floating right now!!!! Get your bucket and knife and hit the woods they are here.

Everyone else seems to be enjoying the last of the nice weather (maybe?) but we mushroom hunters secretly hope it will RAIN!

I suppose in the mean time, we can study the mushroom bible (mushrooms demystified). Looking forward to the weekend!

Fishermen want some more rain tooo. Rivers are still extremely low and the fish are waiting to come in still. WR I am going picking this weekend you coming [Big Grin]

I find quite a few in gooses backyard all summer long.First time I saw a summer chantrale [sp] was at a mushroom exhibition in Quilicene.I start searching the woods around the hood canal early augaust with good sucess.I think the fog off the canal has something to do with it.I prefer the early ones,they seem to have a peppery flavor and go great with the campfire t-bone.

We had a splash of rain the first part of august... got some then myself.

Were you up high or down low? we had to go high
