This last shot of rain kicked up some serious mushrooms. Large basket of chantrelles, some shaggy manes, huge patches of puff balls, angel wings.

Get out and pick!!! they are thick!!

Got a nice mess of chanterelles this afternoon. Had to be more selective than usual due to the number of mushrooms that were past their prime. Last year we started picking in July, and finished in December. This year it was September before we found good numbers of chanterelles. The way it looks, picking might be over by the end of this month. We are seeing very few mushrooms other than chanterelles. Maybe the drought is to blame.
