Don't see much posting going on here. I'm heading out Saturday am below Bonneville to see if I can catch a big ol' walleye. Not too experienced, but damn I'm going to try. I'll start pullin' plugs upstream, then pull worm rigs back downstream. Looking fo 20 to 30 foot water. Anyone out there have favorite techniques they would like to share?

I've fished walleye quite a bit when I lived in South Dakota. Power bait 3" grubs on day-glo orange jigs... usually 1/8 oz... that's a great combination. I like day-glo orange and chartreuse grubs, then sherbert works well (pink and orange but called sherbert).
My SO and I are going on a guided trip on the Columbian on the 18th for Walleye. I haven't fished them since moving here but we'll see how that goes. There are some large walleye in that river... hopefully we can catch a couple.
I'll post a trip report when I get back, and share any knowledge I gain.

Theres alot of posting going on Mojo, alot of folks are not focused on Warm Water right now I guess, too busy chasin steel, but some peek in here on occasion , and just lurk and not post. There are alot!! of topics/sections on this site, which to me is what makes it cool, & the people are allright too

Redman - Where do you fish for Walleye and bass above Wanapum? I have a buddy that lives in Eburg and we always talk about fishing that stretch, but there is a lot of water and it would be nice to have a place to begin. One thing for sure that stretch doesn't receive much pressure.
