I want to try a bit of squidding thise year. When does it usually start to pick up? also, what is your favorite color for squid jigs? thanks

Ben not sure when the squid roll into the local docks.. Favorite color? Ah... when they thick I just use one with sticky hooks

I've heard they can be in PA in July and August...I'll check my files....I do recollect that some years it can bve awesome up there.

It can be a blanket of squid along the docks when they are in. 2/3 every time ya drop that jig through the school. Squirt Squirt....

Squid can be found at PA now thru August....I've heard that they can be pretty thick some years.....I've gotten into them in late August in the Canal. Just keep checking your waterfront docks.

I gave it a shot while crabbing last night, squid are not thick yet, just saw a couple errant sick looking ones, but the crabbing was decent

November is spawning season and they are pretty aggressive.Take your lights, some multi-colored glittery squid jigs and start yanking. Tacoma's Ruston Way is productive also.

i usually go out to ruston way in november and if you are in need of jigs the place to go is either sport co. and get the homemade jigs or go down to the peir and i am sure there is going to be someone down there who is selling jigs.
