Lazer bore sight
      #65682 - 07/14/03 07:27 PM

I've been lookin @ these for sometime, and bought an AimSHOT
Laser Bore Sight @ our local Gun Show sunday.

The laser came in .223 Remington and then you buy the sleeves for the caliber you want, they slip over the .223....I bought a .308 Winchester...which also fits .358 Winchester and 7mm-08
This made it easy as most of my rifles are 7.62 NATO (HK-91 & FAL L1A1) or .308 Winchester.

Later I'll buy a sleeve for my SAR-1 ( 7.62x39 ) right now I just have a red dot sight in it, so no big deal.

My next gun purchase will be a AR-15 some I'm already covered in .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO.

Any way all you do is put the 3 watch batterys in the end of the .223 casing/laser and then put that in the .308 sleeve. Put the .308 casing in the chamber of the rifle your sighting in, then close the bolt. In lower light or the dark, shine the laser on an object like 25-50 yards away(or further...laser has a 500 yard range) and adjust your scope cross hair's to the red laser dot( you can also sight in your laser sight this way... like I did on my HK )

This is a quick way to make sure your scope is on, without firing a shot....takes less than 5 minutes

I was looking at the same type of lazer bore sights also but it was quite pricy...did you get a deal? Seems like a great way to go though.

That's not a bad price. Cabelas sells the indivdual cartridges for 80.00 bucks and don't offer the sleeves. Through Cabelas you have to buy each caliber. You got a pretty decent buy Bob.

I've been tosing the idea of buying one for my .308, sounds like I just might have to.
