Thumpin Humpies! (or trying!)
      #70828 - 08/18/03 12:56 PM

We got obnoxiously drunk Saturday. Don't believe those stories about me eating humpy hearts while they are still beating. I would never do anything like that, unless I was obnoxiously drunk. Oh, yeah I already said I was. Perhaps I did. Well, anyway they are not that bad and you know they are fresh if the blood is still squirting!

Sunday we got a real late start fishing. I went out with Fishslayer. We had a little action around Jeff Head so headed for Humpy Hollow. Ope reported 7 humpies 3 big ones, released 4 by 1pm. When we got there, there were leapers all over the place! FS got a nice silver, about 6 or 7 pounds. I then missed 3 strong hookups before making a great comeback, scoring 2 humpies late in the game. I suspect that makes it a tie. 1 silver = 2 humpies.

Spoke to some dudes who were slaying humpies jigging or casting pink buzz bombs in Admiralty Inlet.
The Humpies are coming! The Humpies are coming! I have some little pink jigs and some pink buzz bombs. New moon this weekend, too bad. We might get some action anchored up.

I can hardly beleive that we are actually having to work to catch those pink pussies after all of them we caught in Sooke. Perhaps I need to show them some respect. They have hearts (well, some do )and feelings too!

The most recent collection of fish is going in the brine tomorrow morning. It should be done sometime wednesday. It will be laced with cayenne! Smoked Cayanne Humpy!

Gutz
Thanks for the report!
Cayenne Humpie sounds pretty good. All of my fish has cayenne in it, is a common use around my house.
Them humpies are great smokers!

I will be lurking around in my yellow and white seaswirl

named Flipper.

I promise I will save any hearts for ya, but the eyeballs are mine!

Sounds like ya'all had a good time. ANd will be haveing some good eats here shortly. I have only fished one day for salmon and was trying to catch a Chinook in June. I guess it was kinda late in the season.

Too funny, no it was not me but the boat looks identical other than mine is an inboard, at least from that distance.

Well I guess if ya see a boat like that it could be me or the other dude!

Shoot me an email if ya wanna fish, since you are in Lynnwood too
