PA tribs
      #75724 - 09/20/03 11:16 AM

My brother, who lives in western PA, spends alot of time chasing steelies around these tribs. he fishes elk creek, walnut, trout run, and crooked creek. he says that the fish are starting to show, locals say its slow but dont they always. hes limited his last few trips out and is on a trip to presque isle this weekend. ill post his report when he gets it to me. he fishes mostly single egg patterns and hardware. im going to send him a box of dick nites for him to try next week!

Hope PA got lots more rain than we did in central NY. I was hoping for a couple of inches, at least, to get the runs started. Oh, well - the runs will start pretty soon, anyway.

What is a "Dick Nite" I saw that term in another thread and was wondering about it.

Runs are on in Michigan but all GLs states could use some rain to really get them going.

I will look them up on the net, thanks.

A tiny flutter spoon on my spey rod, I can see it now, hey when I was kid back east we fished for trout with tiny flutter spoons on our 6 weight fly rods.

This could be another breakthrough in techniques for the GLs.

LOL

You bet, all my friends ask me when I am moving back and after 21 years they would get the hint. I also say kicking and fighting. Some guys are having a fishout at The Shoe casting glow spoons for chinook from 7:00pm to 11.
Frank from Glowmates will be there. More info at Angler101.com
