Arrow Selection new
      #34788 - 05/14/01 03:34 PM

Hey guys, It's me again. This time, which arrows do you prefer, carbon or aluminum, heavy (deep penetration) or light (speed). Personally, I like BOTH heavy arrows and good speed. I shoot 27.5 inch long XX75 2117 with 100 grain Thunderheads...total arrow weight of 510 grains. My Martin Fury spits these out at 270+ fps at 70 lbs draw weight. Should be good elk medicine if I can manage to hit one this year!

Greg I use Beman 60/80 hunter full length. I went with these because if flattens out my distance mistakes. I shoot 65 lbs and it can makes a large difference in placement. The hardest part of hunting is distance calculation before the shot. We all shoot good at the range. Haven't archery hunted in a number of years now, but the elk I shot went twenty yards and dropped with the Beman shot from my Onieda strike eagle.

Anybody else got arrow preferences? I am extremely happy with the beman performance and I see they have been updated since my last purchase.

Never could get use to a release... finger shooter
