Lake Michigan surface water temps have dropped into the 60s, 40s up in wisconsin. See link below.
Salmon are in all rivers now, biggest runs yet to come, rives are low need some rain to really bring them in. Air temps are dropping to 40s overnight now and up to 60-70 during day cooling down the river temps also.
I hit salmon two weeks ago so they are there. Charter boats on lake michigan have been hitting the salmon good so it looks like it could be a good run. Skamanias summer run steelhead have been in some rivers since May and the run has been the strongest in 3-4 years. Many fish over 15 pounds.
The best time of the year has arrived for GLs fishing in my opinion, the next 3 months are prime time with salmon, steelhead, LRBs, and even lake trout coming into the rivers to spawn.
