i'm takin my son on his frist elk hunting trip for modern this year. hopefully he'll get lucky again, little sucker got lucky on the opener for deer with a nice spike. probably head to winston creek saw lots of elk up there.

I'll be hunting one of 7 local herds. Hopefully I'll be able to drive up to this one as well. Got a late season cow tag in January as insurance. Best of luck.

I am going to try my luck again this year. Don't seem to see anything after the season starts. Last year saw 3 bulls 3-4 pt the day before opening seasaon. Then nothing.

Hey already been to Idaho elking this year there where 3 taken in our group of 6 (no I wasn't one of them, all though there was this mean bunny.) anyhow my cousin who has been hunting with us for about 9-years shot HER first bull nice 6x6 one shot from about 450 yards with a 270 right below the ear as soon as I get pictures will post.
