Tech Tips

Welcome to Tech Tips. Most of you have a bike, quad, PWC, lawnmower, generator, etc. Are they running and ready to use? Let’s fix them! Feel free to post a new topic with what you have and what it needs. I will help you. I’m mostly familiar with Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, SeaDoo, Honda power equipment, and the small Honda outboards.

Check back often as I’ll be posting some tips on general maintenance, storage, and usage.

Yeah Tim. And my offer still stands. You can use my moped for a "tutorial" vehicle.

Andy, have you tried riding down hill?
My Spree tops out at 31mph on flat ground but I've seen 35 on hills. Does that count as insanely fast?

This can't be healthy. All this fishing is really messing with my head.

Dogfish

We could port the cylinder and probably get 5-8mph more out of it. I could make it go even faster, but, you will lose bottom end power and have some problems going up hills. The exhaust system is very restrictive on those. I don't know of any aftermarket exhausts for that model and a custom one would be expensive. A couple hundred bucks would be about the cost for those mods and that's with a new piston kit.

cupo...could do the same with your Spree!
