trying to plan a family vacation for august (very short notice!) I watched a program on TLC last year about treasure hunting/mining vacations, which would be very cool! also last year we spent a week in ohio near cedar point and the beach we stayed at had tons of sea glass. that was soooo much fun! but we want to go someplace different this year. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good place that we could do either of those things that is not too far from lower michigan...we are thinking 12 hour drive would be the furthest we could go... I know this is a long post and a lot to ask...but hoping for any suggestions! Thanks much!
