I think they were... I gotta do a better job at saving feathers as I know a guy that does pretty good saving feathers from birds he shoots each year and gets enough jingle to make it worth the effort.
Pheasant hunting would be very exciting...On these hunts we spot were the birds are at (usually small bodies of water) He releases his falcon and then we proceed down toward the birds, meanwhile the falcon is above and the ducks are very aware of the it and do not like to fly. We get to the edge and jump the birds off the water and the rest is up to the falcon. He brings a dog if the duck escapes back to the water plus it helps in getting the birds off the water. The 3-4 times I have tagged along the falcon has made great "stoops" and slammed the birds to the ground. It is a blast if anyone gets an offer to go...GO!
