Ketchikan supplies

Grizz or anyone else who may have experience in Ketchikan. I've got a few questions relating to my trip to Coffman Cove this summer and my stop in Ketchikan.

I'm flying into Ketchikan at 8:35 AM. I'm taking the ferry to Hollis at 3:30 PM. I won't have a car in Ketch as it'll be waiting for me in Hollis. How difficult is it to get around town to buy groceries for the week, get some shirts at Soho Coho, and pick up a case of green label

and some lead? Is there a bus? Are many taxis available? Or will I be fighting the cruise ship crowd? Any help offered would be welcome.
