93 Camry 4 cylinder....wife started it inthe morning to warmup and defrost. 15 minutes later she went out to take off and it had quit running....it wouldn't start even though it had cranked over. I tried cranking it over on a shop charging unit later and nothing. Checked and all 4 plugs had good spark and there was fuel supply on the engine side of the fuel filter. Compression seemed to suck though. Okay I am thinking timing belt is broke. Haul it down to the local mechanic who is pretty damn good. He checks the timing belt....not broke and hasn't slipped....no teeth worn or knocked off either gear. Timing is 180 degrees out. Checked compression and all 4 cylinders are at 30 psi. Did a bleed down check also....same thing. Rings seem fine. This is a non-interrupting engine so none of the valves should or could be bent as they are mechanically not able to be reached by the pistons. Overhead cam looked damn near new and the plugs looked fine also. What the heck could it be? "Seen worse".....
