So. Santiam Report

Fished the S. Santiam last saturday and today. Water is running high (duh) but fishable. Visibility is about 2.5 ft, lots of folks fishing both days. Some catching fish near the hatchery, and near Wiley Creek. Jigs are the game - never done any jig fishing until now - tied plenty but am just learning how to fish them. Didn't hook anything. Water looks to drop 24 inches in the next couple of days. Numbers of fish through the traps are climbing daily. Going to be good once the water goes down a bit.
