We do not share this information with outside parties unless someone posts information on their web site concerning Steelheader.net and that information happens to include a news item that a reader of Steelheader.net submitted.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

All security for Steelheader.net is provided by the current web host provider. I do not collect any personal information from you -so the security of that non-info couldn't be higher!
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13. Except for the misguided youth who use the information provided by this site to improve their "fishing sk1llz"... ;-)
On the Forums I can match specific IP addresses with your email address. I do not do it to track you, the information is not sold, I do not share the data with advertisers. So, why do I want to match your IP to your email address? For security reasons. If someone gets out of line on Steelheader.net I will ban their user name as well as their email and IP address. I'll then:
- report the abuse to their ISP
- provide log files showing the abuse
- provide copies of the posts
I want to protect the users of Steelheader.net who want to be a part of a dynamic community of fisher folks. In order to provide that protection I have to be able to match email and IP addresses. If it were not for the jerks of this world I wouldn't care to keep track of who you are.
You can't -because I don't collect any information about you.
